Doonbeg is located in the Wild Atlantic Way N67 road and can be accessed from many directions. Here are three of the most popular:

From Ennis (approximately 55 minutes / 45km away by car)

Take the Kilrush/Kilkee Road (N68) from Ennis. After approximately 24 kilometres there will be a signpost for Kilmihil and Doonbeg indicating a right turn at The Crossroad Bar on to the R484 road. Continue on the R484 road, driving through Kilmihil and in to Creegh.. In Creegh take a left hand turn signposted to Doonbeg. Travel in to Doonbeg, cross over the river and continue to travel toward Kilkee along Main Street. When you arrive at the Church (on your right) turn right and follow signs to Doonbeg Bay and Whitestrand. The camp site is located a short way along on the left as you turn the first corner on the bay.

South From Lahinch (approximately 25 minutes / 32km away by car)

Take the N67 southbound from Lahinch toward Kilkee.  Traveling along this route you will travel through Milltown Malbay and on to Quilty. Drive through Quilty and continue traveling on the N67, turning right toward Doonbeg. You will pass the famous Trump International Gold Links on your right. Travel in to Doonbeg, cross over the river and continue to travel toward Kilkee along Main Street. When you arrive at the Church (on your right) turn right and follow signs to Doonbeg Bay and Whitestrand. The camp site is located a short way along on the left as you turn the first corner on the bay.

North From the Killimer Ferry, Killimer: (approximately 25 minutes / 18km away by car)

Time Table Shannon FerriesUpon leaving the ferry, turn left and travel toward Kilrush. In Kilrush follow signs for Kilkee N67. When leaving Kilrush you travel up a short hill, toward the top of the hill is a right hand turn signposted for Doonbeg. Turn right here are follow the road to the end. You will arrive at a T junction with Igoe Inn on your left and Morrissey on your right. Turn left here. Travel toward Kilkee along Main Street. When you arrive at the Church (on your right) turn right and follow signs to Doonbeg Bay and Whitestrand. The camp site is located a short way along on the left as you turn the first corner on the bay.
